Industrial cleaning

Whether you are putting together a major project or you need a one-off cleaning service, our equipment and industrial cleaning expertise are available across the UK.
Cold cutting

Abrasive jet cutting is a faster, safer, cleaner way to cut steel, concrete and other materials of nearly any thickness.

Abrasive jet cutting is a faster, safer, cleaner way to cut steel, concrete and other materials of nearly any thickness.
  • There’s no need to degas areas beforehand, saving time and money.
  • Cutting is carried out remotely, keeping the operator and all other personnel a safe distance away.
  • Cuts are clean, precise and already prepared for re-welding.
  • The cut creates its own starting point, so there’s no need to over-run.
  • The system can be used to cut under water.
Our highly trained cold cutting team combines many years experience with the latest cutting technology, to serve the oil, gas and maritime industries.

Chemical decontamination

Our packaged solutions, based on environmentally safe and proven systems, rapidly decontaminate hydrocarbon processing plants.

Our qualified and experienced chemical cleaning teams can design safe and efficient industrial cleaning solutions around your requirements.

Chemical cleaning
Our service delivers visible results through a range of advanced techniques. We begin with a site survey and discussions to make sure we understand your needs and expectations.

By running laboratory-based trials with our approved suppliers we can select the most effective methods for your project. We then identify the right chemicals to successfully and safely clean heavy contaminants.

Decontamination
Our packaged solutions, based on environmentally safe and proven systems, rapidly decontaminate hydrocarbon processing plants.

Historically, chemicals or prolonged steaming were used to prepare oil tanks for entry prior to shutdown cleaning.

Now our turnkey chemical decontamination services for oil refinery and petrochemical plant turnarounds can reduce preparation time and improve safety levels.

Safety
Our priority is the protection of the maintenance crews scheduled to enter the vessels and towers.

The prime safety objectives of ‘decontamination’ are to reduce benzene to <1.0ppm, producing gas free conditions that meet safe entry LEL and PEL permit levels. Our decontamination system can provide these conditions in significantly less time than traditional steaming-out procedures, improving both safety and preparation.

H2S and pyrophopric deposits, two exceptionally hazardous conditions, can also be minimised by effective decontamination.

Increased productivity
Effective decontamination can also bring a significant increase in shutdown productivity. By reaching gas-free conditions in a shorter timescale we can speed up entry and eliminate the need for self-contained breathing apparatus.

Hot work can often be undertaken immediately, and by removing heavy and often hazardous sludges we can also speed up mechanical dismantling and repairs.
High pressure water jetting

Our advanced high pressure water jetting equipment can achieve pressures of 2,000 to 40,000psi, providing fast, efficient cleaning and maintenance.

Our advanced high pressure water jetting equipment can achieve pressures of 2,000 to 40,000psi, providing fast, efficient cleaning and maintenance.

This versatile technology works across a wide variety of industrial applications:

  • Heat exchangers/tube bundles
  • Fin fan condensers
  • Columns and towers
  • Vessels and drums
  • Digester tanks and vessel cleaning
  • Drainage and effluent systems
  • Tank cleaning
  • Spill remediation for industrial sites and public highways
Advanced technology
High pressure jetting solutions range from conventional manual lancing, through to advanced remote, automated and semi automated systems.

Our highly trained technical teams manage full project planning and risk assessment, in accordance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation. All operatives hold safety passports and jetting qualifications, working to a strict code of practice.

We can also recover waste water and effluent materials, greatly reducing the risk of environmental pollution.

Veolia is a member of the Water Jetting Association and UK Spill.

Tank cleaning

Tank cleaning services require a partnership approach to minimise downtime and maintain the highest environmental standards.

We provide both non-entry and conventional tank cleaning services which minimise downtime and maintain the highest environmental and safety standards.

We draw on our international resources and experienced, qualified personnel to deliver industrial cleaning solutions quickly and within budget.

We offer conventional tank cleaning across all sectors, backed by the latest equipment and in-house recycling and waste management.

Conventional tank cleaning
Our operatives are highly trained in confined space entry, use of breathing apparatus, jetting and in all the other health, safety and environmental aspects of their work.

Specially designed equipment
We manufacture hydrodozers to your exact specifications, which can be manually or remotely operated to clear sludge from tanks.  ATEX approved and rigorously tested, they can be fitted with breathing apparatus or rigged up to one of our high power vacuum tankers.

Supported by our in-house QSHE team, we work hard to ensure that all those on site and the surrounding environment are kept safe throughout the project.
